Just Like Another Night

She twists and she turns
Swirls around with the green leafs,
Falling on her dancing frame.
With each beat and thump her feet responds,
Her body, the long wavy hair moves and moves
along her shaky head and gyrating music.

The smoke burns her out,
The alcohol drinks her in
She sees her onlookers with drunken eyes
Watching her with lust filled in and vice.

The gaze rips her glittering and shiny dress
To see her skin just like another night,
Once again the viewer calls her in, to have a closer look in.
To satisfy and please him, the green leafs negotiated her ruins.

Once more she survives the night!
She is her best for the day
She is modest & shy
Professional & Coy
All the wisdom she has is for her children who are unaware

The day falls, she sings lullaby
She puts on the powder on her lovely skin
Smudges the kohl in her eye

Red on her lips,
Matches the nakedness she wears
She struts the street to reach a brick wall
Awaiting the nights call.
